Airport pickups across Tunbridge Wells
One airport is close and three are not — pickup planning from Tunbridge Wells starts with that fact.
One short run, three long ones
Gatwick is much the closest airport to Tunbridge Wells — about 25 miles, typically 45–65 mins, and the only one of the four that can skip the M25 altogether when the driver goes cross-country on the A264 and A22. Heathrow, Stansted and Luton are longer runs of 63 to 83 miles. The practical difference: an early Gatwick flight does not demand the pre-dawn start the other three can.
Early departures
An early Gatwick departure does not need a 3am start from Tunbridge Wells — the longer runs do. We operate 24 hours a day and book to the flight, not the clock; booking ahead is what holds your preferred vehicle class.
Local pickups
We cover the whole of Tunbridge Wells — the Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells Central station, Royal Victoria Place and the avenues from St John’s to Hawkenbury, plus Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. The A21 dual carriageway gives the town a fast, dependable link to the motorway network, and it is where most airport runs begin.
Also nearby
Southborough, Rusthall and Langton Green ride on the same fixed airport fares; Pembury — with the hospital — has a page of its own.

Tunbridge Wells airport transfers FAQs.
Questions about a particular route — journey times, terminals, drop-off charges — are answered on that airport’s own page.
Which airport is quickest from Tunbridge Wells?
Gatwick — typically 45–65 mins for about 25 miles. Heathrow is next at 75–95 mins, and Luton is the longest run at 105–125 mins. Each route page above has the full picture: fares by vehicle, the route itself and what to allow at busy times.
How much is an airport taxi from Tunbridge Wells?
Fixed fares from Tunbridge Wells for a standard vehicle: Gatwick £75, Heathrow £105, Stansted £105, Luton £130. The fare is agreed at booking — outbound journeys add the airport’s own drop-off charge, and each route page shows fares for every vehicle class, including the first-app-booking price.
Does Streamline have an office in Tunbridge Wells?
Tunbridge Wells has its own Streamline number, 01892 511911, and pickups across the town are genuinely local. The company’s head office is at 68 King Street in Maidstone.
How do I book an airport transfer from Tunbridge Wells?
Book in the Streamline app or call 01892 511911. You can book the outward and return journeys together or separately, and your fare is confirmed at the time of booking.
How far in advance should I book?
We run 24 hours a day, so there is no cut-off, but most Tunbridge Wells airport runs leave between 3am and 5am and those slots go first. Booking ahead is mainly about securing the vehicle class you want rather than getting a car at all.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Your driver monitors your flight in real time and adjusts to the actual landing time at no extra charge. You also have 60 minutes’ free waiting from when the flight lands, not from your booked time.
How does the return pickup from the airport work?
Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall holding a Streamline name board and walks you to the car, so there is no car park to find. Airport parking on return journeys is charged separately, at the cost incurred on the day.
Which vehicle should I book for luggage or a group?
A standard vehicle seats up to 4, but four passengers with large cases will be tight — take an MPV instead. The 8-seater MPV and the Premium MPV (Mercedes V-Class) both carry up to 8, and the V-Class has the most luggage room. If you are not sure, call 01892 511911 before you book and we will tell you what fits.
What gets added to the fixed fare?
On outbound journeys, the airport’s own drop-off charge — it differs by airport, and each route page states the current one. On return journeys, airport parking at the cost incurred on the day. Different rates may apply on bank holidays, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Stansted and Luton journeys also cross the Dartford Crossing, which adds the £5.60 Dart Charge each way. Nothing else: there is no meter and no surge pricing.
